Sigiriya – Lion Rock located in the Central Province of the Matale District is a pride to Sri Lanka, today which is counted among the World Heritage Sites by the UNESCO. The Lion Rock – Sigiriya rises up to nearly 660 feet and according to the chronicles of Sri Lanka King Kasyapa had built his palace on top of this magnificent rock with colorful frescoes for decorations.
